Location: Remote
Contract Length: Three - Six Months
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Rate: Circa 600 Per Day
The Role
I am working with a longstanding client who require an experienced Mainframe Automation Consultant to support a major automation migration programme. The role is focused on converting existing OPS/MVS Rules and EXECs into BMC AMI Ops Automation and the successful candidate will bring deep mainframe automation expertise, strong REXX development skills and a proven track record delivering automation conversion projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly specialised programme where your expertise in REXX, Mainframe Automation and AMI Ops Automation will be central to the success of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert OPS/MVS Rules and EXECs into BMC AMI Ops Automation
- Review and optimise existing automation processes
- Develop and maintain REXX-based automation solutions
- Support the migration of critical operational workloads
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure a successful transition
Essential Skills
- Strong REXX development experience
- Hands on experience with OPS/MVS and BMC AMI Ops Automation
- Proven automation conversion or migration experience
- Strong understanding of Mainframe environments
- Experience working with Rules and EXECs
