SC Cleared Software Engineer Initial 5-month Contract Fully Remote £400 - £575 p/day, Inside IR35 We're recruiting for a Software Engineer to support the development and improvement of secure, python solutions. This role will focus on Python development, package management, CI/CD and automation, working closely with engineering, security and platform teams to create reliable and user-friendly solutions for development teams. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain secure Python and package management golden paths Develop curated package repositories and controlled publishing workflows Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, reusable templates and developer tooling Integrate platform services with identity, security and runtime environments Develop automated onboarding and self-service capabilities Support reproducible development environments across Windows, WSL, Linux and containerised platforms Troubleshoot developer issues and reduce reliance on workarounds Improve platform reliability, build success, performance and supportability Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge transfer Work collaboratively with engineering teams to gather feedback and continuously improve the platform Requirements: Strong Python development skills, with hands-on experience managing packages, dependencies and internal Python libraries using tools such as pip, PyPI and Conda Strong Python engineering and package management experience Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation and artefact repositories Experience with containers and reproducible development environments Understanding of SSO, RBAC, security scanning and API integration Knowledge of SBOMs, provenance and policy-as-code SC ClearanceECS Recruitment Group Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
