We are seeking experienced Network Lead to join a major IT Services provider, supporting large-scale European data centre programmes. These roles will focus on networking design, with an emphasis on building point-to-point (P2P) maps, port connectivity, and cabling planning.
You'll act as a technical authority on network design, ensuring delivery plans are accurate, practical, and aligned with the broader data centre build.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and review network topologies for new builds and expansions
- Work with Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate network planning
- Build P2P/port-to-port connectivity maps for cabling and network infrastructure
- Calculate cable lengths and plan cabling routes based on P2P maps
- Provide technical governance and input during planning and implementation
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders
- Support senior discussions and design sign-off
- Strong background in network design for large-scale data centres
- Experience building and reading network topologies
- Skilled in P2P mapping and port-to-port connectivity planning
- Comfortable working with BOMs and calculating cable lengths
- Previous exposure to Infiniband or similar high-performance networking technologies is highly desirable
