Infrastructure Engineer Rate: £400 per day Length: 3-6 months Location: Bromley (Onsite) We have several legacy systems running on out of support Microsoft operating systems. Having to run legacy applications on our network means we except a level higher of vulnerabilities than we would wish. This is then highlighted at PEN test and cyber security audits. Also, the lack of knowledge of how to fix these applications means there is an operational risk when they are updated and slows down deployment of updates. We are looking for an individual to work with end users and application experts to understand the business requirements of the application. Then come up with a plan to either Upgrade the host O/s and ensure the applications works Offer a replacement application that is fully supported Isolate the applications in such a way that the security vulnerabilities that the legacy o/s and these legacy applications pose, is removed and that updates on the current network does not affect the legacy area.The individual will then implement, test and document the solution for all the required legacy applications.
