MySQL DBA - Deployment & Implementation. Contract: 3 months. Remote (occasional travel to Surrey). Rate: £450-£550 per day. Inside IR35. Start: ASAP.
We are seeking an experienced MySQL Database Administrator to support a short-term deployment and implementation programme within an enterprise environment. The role is predominantly remote, with occasional on-site travel to Surrey for key delivery activities.
Responsibilities:
- Deploying and implementing MySQL database environments
- Supporting database builds, configuration and migration activities
- Performance tuning, optimisation and stability during deployment phases
- Managing backups, recovery and high availability configurations
- Supporting go-live and handover into BAU operations
- Working closely with infrastructure, application and delivery teams
Required experience:
- Proven experience as a MySQL DBA in enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on experience with MySQL deployment and implementation
- Experience with performance tuning, indexing and query optimisation
- Solid understanding of backup, recovery and DR strategies
- Comfortable working independently in a delivery-focused contract role
