The Role
This is not a hands-on testing role. We are looking for someone who can bring structure, strategy and best practice to the testing programme.
You will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, external suppliers and a small team of business-based testers to establish how testing should be planned, managed and delivered.
Key responsibilities will include
Developing and implementing a practical test strategy for the platform and wider programme.
Establishing testing processes, governance and templates from the ground up.
Planning and scheduling testing activities across the development lifecycle.
Coordinating and harnessing a small team of testers who are primarily business users rather than professional Test Analysts.
Defining appropriate approaches to unit, integration, system and end-to-end testing.
Working with BAs to ensure user stories and requirements are testable, measurable and have clear expected outcomes.
Supporting the creation of manual test scripts and expected results.
Working with developers and the external development partner to ensure appropriate testing takes place before releases.
Helping establish confidence in data quality, completeness, accuracy and complex validation rules.
Providing visibility of testing progress, risks, issues and readiness for release.
