We're working with a leading Global IT Services Provider who are looking for an OpenShift Architect to support a large-scale cloud migration programme. This role will focus on migrating a portfolio of microservices-based applications from an on-premises cloud environment to AWS.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and design of a large-scale application migration to AWS
  • Produce high-level and low-level solution design documentation
  • Provide technical guidance on migrating microservices-based applications
  • Design and support container platform solutions using EKS, ECS and OpenShift
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to define migration strategies
  • Contribute to AWS cost modelling and provide commercial considerations for proposed solutions

Required experience:

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale cloud migration programmes
  • Experience supporting large-scale application migration programmes from on-premises environments to AWS
  • Hands-on experience with EKS, ECS and OpenShift (essential)
  • Experience designing and documenting high-level and low-level solution designs
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and application migration strategies
  • AWS Kiro is desirable
