We are currently hiring an experienced Business Development Specialist for a Manchester based Company that specialise within Instrumentation Engineering. A great opportunity to join one of the Market Leaders & build on solid foundations of success across multiple verticals. Full product training is offered!
What we are looking for is a proven B2B Sales person who can demonstrate developing and nurturing new clients as well as then managing the full sales process. Ideally Degree educated, but we are open on this depending on background & experience. The environment is not a KPI or Hardcore sales floor, it's one where we trust our people to manage their own time, plan their days accordingly etc. Also, if travel, including international travel appeals then this is certainly something that my client offers!
The successful candidate will play a vital role in expanding our client base and increasing revenue through strategic outreach and relationship management. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about Engineering related sales, with a focus on leveraging CRM tools to optimise business growth.
Duties- Identify and target potential clients through market research and networking activities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to foster loyalty and repeat business
- Present our products and services effectively, tailoring pitches to meet client needs
- Utilise Salesforce and other CRM software to track leads, manage contacts, and monitor sales pipelines
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns that generate new business opportunities
- Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and contracts for prospective clients
- Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the organisations offerings
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning
- Report regularly on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights to senior management
- Proven experience in sales or business development roles, ideally within a B2B environment
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce and CRM software tools for managing customer relationships
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers
- Organised, self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Relevant qualifications in business administration or sales are desirable but not essential
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for client meetings and networking events
