Primarily involved with tasks supporting the preparation of geotechnical reports, including analysis and recommendations formulated in collaboration with senior staff. Manage construction materials testing (CMT) projects with daily report review, assist with resolution of issues, and train field staff on your projects. Manage project budgets on both geotechnical and CMT projects and prepare invoices.

Assist with or perform the following tasks under supervision:

  • Perform boring and test pit layouts and evaluate site access.
  • Prepare drilling packages and obtain utility clearances.
  • Research local geologic history.
  • Supervise field work performed by drilling/test pit crews and assist with rig access issues.
  • Perform in-situ testing.
  • Perform specialized geotechnical field testing.
  • Classify soil and assign laboratory testing.
  • Assist with preparation of proposals for geotechnical and CMT projects for training and development.

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a related field is required. No prior experience required. A professional license is not required for this position but is necessary for career progression. Valid driver's license is required if driving for or on behalf of ECS subsidiaries.
