Geotechnical Staff Project Manager I

What You\’ll Do

Primarily involved with tasks supporting the preparation of geotechnical reports, including analysis and recommendations formulated in collaboration with senior staff.

• Manage construction materials testing (CMT) projects with daily report review, assist with resolution of issues, and train field staff on your projects.
• Manage project budgets on both geotechnical and CMT projects and prepare invoices.
• Assist with or perform the following tasks under supervision:
  • Perform boring and test pit layouts and evaluate site access.
  • Prepare drilling packages and obtain utility clearances.
  • Research local geologic history.
  • Supervise field work performed by drilling/test pit crews and assist with rig access issues.
  • Perform in-situ testing.
  • Perform specialized geotechnical field testing.
  • Classify soil and assign laboratory testing.
  • Assist with preparation of proposals for geotechnical and CMT projects for training and development.

What We\’re Looking For

• Bachelor\’s and/or Master\’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a related field is required.
• No prior experience required.
• A professional license is not required for this position but is necessary for career progression.
• Valid driver\’s license is required if driving for or on behalf of ECS subsidiaries.
