ECS Limited offers a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Assistant Team Leader to join our Tampa team. We provide opportunities for professional development with additional incentives as you advance your skills and gain experience. In this role, you will ensure that our technicians are properly trained and organized through mentorship within the Field Services department.
Responsibilities
- Field Activities: Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites.
- Safety: Maintain and organize inventory of supplies; calibrate and maintain field equipment with accurate records; promote safety culture; ensure proper PPE usage; assist with safety training.
- Communication: Communicate daily with technicians, project managers, and general contractors; collaborate with Team Leaders on scheduling and staffing; mentor junior staff; support project and department management; participate in meetings and business development activities as needed.

What Weβre Looking For
- Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of related experience
- Willingness to maintain basic certifications; advanced certifications may be required based on work
- Ability to lift a minimum of 85 pounds
- Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing)
- Effective collaboration with peers and supervisors
- Understanding of construction materials testing principles and ASTM standards
- Proficiency in data interpretation and evaluation of CMT techniques
