ECS Engineering Services Ltd. is seeking a highly organised Work Planner to oversee resource allocation and activity scheduling across all departments. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient project execution, effective utilisation of resources, and optimal planning for fabrication, project works, and planned preventive maintenance (PPM).

The Work Planner will act as the central hub for planning activities, collaborating with operations, commercial, procurement, and engineering teams to optimise workflows and maximise cost efficiency.

  • Strong experience in workforce, resource, and project planning, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors.
  • Proven ability to plan, allocate, and monitor resources across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of NEC4 contract frameworks and their impact on planning and resource management.
  • Strong working knowledge of planning software, including Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to optimise resource utilisation.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and coordination skills, enabling effective cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to introduce new ideas and drive continuous improvement within the scope of the role.
  • Recognises the importance of teamwork and promotes a positive team ethos.
  • Experience in planned preventative maintenance (PPM) scheduling within engineering or asset management industries.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with lean planning methodologies to improve operational efficiency.
