Key Responsibilities:
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Month-end preparation/analysis and reporting
- Statutory returns including PAYE/CIS/VAT etc
- Produce financial and business performance data for Group subsidiaries, monthly and ad hoc
- Month-end ledger closing routines, analysis, and production of the management accounts, ensuring they are produced to the standards required and within published timetables
- Month End Job Costing Analysis and reporting
- Compile monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Compile monthly PAYE, CIS, Quarterly VAT returns and National Statistics submissions
- Compilation of data to support external and internal audit requirements and other information required by Group for year-end reporting.
- Overhead and Job Costing reviews with budget managers
- Assist in gathering and analysis of information to compile the annual budgets
- Ensure appropriate procedure notes are maintained, updated, and documented for defined areas of responsibility
- Monthly Debenture reporting to Financial Institution
- Fixed Assets and Depreciation posting
- Holiday cover for Management Accountant and Payroll
- Group Cashflow consolidation and Cashflow Forecasting
- Internal audits and compliance audits of areas within the Finance Department
- Assist with various improvement and implementation projects
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by your line manager
Skills & Qualifications:
- Part qualified/Qualified CIMA/Qualified by experience
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Management Accountant
- Experience of working within the manufacturing industry
- Good communication skills verbally and in writing
- Highly competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to foster strong and collaborative working relationships at all levels
- Ability to process and analyse information accurately, quickly and logically.
- Ability to introduce new ideas and drive improvements with scope of the role
- Experience of working within the construction industry (Desirable)
- Cashflow forecasting and treasury experience (Desirable)
