- Electrical apprenticeship or Level 3 Electrical qualification as a minimum
- Confined Space trained (current)
- CSCS JIB Card holder
- 2391 Test and Inspection (desirable but not essential)
- Health and Safety trained (IOSH) (desirable)
- HV qualified, assessed and trained
- SMSTS qualified (desirable but not essential)
- Ideally, an NVQ or equivalent in the core role
