We are seeking an Asset Management Engineer to play a key role in improving equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness and long-term asset performance across a major COMAH-regulated hydrocarbon processing facility.
Working closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Operations teams, you will help shape maintenance strategy, optimise maintenance programmes and support informed engineering decision-making across a diverse range of critical plant assets.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong maintenance, reliability or asset management experience who enjoys combining technical knowledge with data-driven decision making to improve plant performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Use asset management systems and equipment data to improve asset reliability, availability and maintenance effectiveness.
- Support the development and implementation of maintenance and asset management strategies.
- Review maintenance programmes and identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Analyse maintenance and asset data and provide practical recommendations to engineering and management teams.
- Develop KPI reporting and asset performance metrics.
- Support annual and long-term maintenance budgeting activities.
- Assist with maintenance planning, work order development and schedule optimisation.
- Interpret engineering drawings, maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
- Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Operations personnel to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support ongoing development and optimisation of asset management systems and processes.
- Help identify opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency, asset utilisation and lifecycle performance.
- Engineering or technical qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance, Reliability, Process or similar).
- Experience working with industrial plant equipment and maintenance activities.
- Experience using CMMS/EAM systems as part of maintenance, reliability or asset management activities.
- Strong understanding of asset management, maintenance and reliability principles.
- Ability to interpret technical and maintenance data and recommend practical improvements.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable discussing equipment performance and maintenance requirements with engineers, technicians and operational personnel.
- Experience with equipment such as: Pumps, Compressors, Pressure vessels, Pipework systems, Heat exchangers, Distillation columns, Turbines, Rotating and static plant equipment would be highly beneficial.

- Experience with Power BI, VBA, Python, HxGN, Octave or similar reporting and analysis tools.
