The role combines technical know-how with commercial thinking to take opportunities from first enquiry through to order and handover. Working across air conditioning, refrigeration and heat pump projects, there will be plenty of variety. One day could be on-site understanding a customer's requirements, the next building a proposal or working with the operational team to get a project over the line. This is a role with real ownership, providing the autonomy to manage opportunities, develop customer relationships and directly influence the growth of Sapphire Cooling Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out site surveys and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Prepare accurate quotations covering labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs.
- Manage sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to order.

- Develop relationships with existing customers and identify additional opportunities.
- Generate new business across the region.
- Work closely with engineering and operational teams to ensure projects can be delivered effectively.
- Support a smooth handover once projects are secured.
- Monitor sales performance, conversion rates and margins.
The company: Sapphire Cooling Services delivers solutions across air conditioning, refrigeration and heat pump projects. You will work closely with the Operations Director, engineering teams and operational colleagues, giving you the support needed to turn strong technical ideas into successfully delivered projects.
The Benefits:
- £50,000 - £60,000 OTE, made up of a competitive basic salary and performance-related bonus.
- Company car.
- Company pension scheme.
- Flexible/hybrid working options where appropriate.
- Company events and on-site parking.
- Ongoing training and development.
- A high level of autonomy and the chance to shape your role as the business grows.
The person: We are looking for someone with previous experience in air conditioning, refrigeration and/or heat pumps, alongside a strong understanding of HVAC systems. Experience in surveying, estimating and quotations, with good commercial awareness around project costs and margins is essential. Strong communication, negotiation and customer relationship skills are also required, as is the ability to manage several opportunities at once. A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK are necessary. Previous HVAC technical sales experience, relevant engineering qualifications or knowledge of Atlas, JobLogic or similar systems would be an advantage.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys the technical side of HVAC but also wants the freedom to build relationships, win work and see the commercial impact of what they do.
