Do you know HVAC inside out and enjoy turning technical challenges into commercially sound solutions? Are you confident surveying sites, building quotations and developing customer relationships that lead to real business?
The role involves combining technical know-how with commercial thinking to take opportunities from first enquiry through to order and handover. Working across air conditioning, refrigeration and heat pump projects, there will be plenty of variety. One day could be on-site understanding a customer's requirements, the next could involve building a proposal or working with the operational team to get a project over the line.
You will have the autonomy to manage opportunities, develop customer relationships and directly influence the growth of Sapphire Cooling Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out site surveys and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Prepare accurate quotations covering labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs.
- Manage sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to order.
- Follow up quotations and maintain a clear, organised sales pipeline.
- Work closely with engineering and operational teams to ensure projects can be delivered effectively.
- Support a smooth handover once projects are secured.
- Monitor sales performance, conversion rates and margins.
The company delivers solutions across air conditioning, refrigeration and heat pump projects. You will work closely with the Operations Director, engineering teams and operational colleagues, giving you the support needed to turn strong technical ideas into successfully delivered projects.

You will need experience in surveying, estimating and quotations, with good commercial awareness around project costs and margins. Strong communication, negotiation and customer relationship skills are essential, as is the ability to manage several opportunities at once. A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK are required. Previous HVAC technical sales experience, relevant engineering qualifications or knowledge of Atlas, JobLogic or similar systems would be an advantage.
