Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely remove, by digging up and removing old meters.
  • Install new meters and reinstate surface to original state or better and remove rubble.
  • Connect meters to communication devices and confirm accurate operation.
  • Test and commission installations, ensuring full functionality before sign-off.
  • Explain meter use and water-saving tips to customers.
  • Record all job details, materials, and outcomes accurately via tablet or laptop.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and assist with maintenance or emergency call-outs when needed.

The Person: Skilled with hand and power tools and confident in technical work. Great communicator who enjoys interacting with customers. Physically fit and happy working outdoors in all weather. Holds the following essential industry qualifications:

  • Emergency First Aid at Work
  • Abrasive Wheels
  • SHEA Water
  • Manual Handling
  • Locate Utility Services (ECat 4+)
  • National Water Hygiene
  • Health Surveillance Assessments (Lung, Skin, Audio)
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Dust Mask Face Fit (RPE)
  • NRSWA Operative
  • EUSR Safe Dig
