The role:

MMP UK is looking for a Finishing Assistant to join its busy Finishing Department on a 3-shift pattern. This is a practical, hands-on role where no two shifts are quite the same. You will support the Gluing Department by helping machine operators keep production running smoothly, safely and to the right quality standards. You will be part of a team that relies on good communication, attention to detail and a willingness to get stuck in where needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading cartons on gluing machines
  • Setting up and operating case erectors and K&Z robotic cells
  • Checking cartons for quality issues and separating non-conforming products
  • Hand-stripping cartons when required
  • Moving printed and unprinted products around the factory
  • Following Company procedures and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Supporting colleagues in the automation area
  • Carrying out quality checks on finished products
  • Helping across gluing machines and other factory areas when needed
  • Working safely and following health and safety rules
  • Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised
  • Completing other reasonable tasks requested by management

The person:

You will need previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment. You should also be:
