Overview Junior Quantity Surveyor – £28-35k per annum – Aberdeen
Are you starting your career in Quantity Surveying and looking for a role where you can learn, develop, and gain real project exposure from day one? We’re looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Project Services team within rhi. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, build your commercial skills, and play a key role in delivering projects from tender stage through to final account.
Please note: This role requires the right to work in the UK on a long-term basis without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Pre-Contract
- Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities using engineering drawings and industry data
- Support the development of schedules of rates and contract preambles
- Help review tender submissions, including cost and manhour analysis
- Contribute to benchmarking rates against industry standards
- Assist with quantity take-offs from drawings
- Support measurement and re-measurement of works on site
- Assist in preparing interim valuations and final accounts
- Help review and assess variations, claims, and contractor submissions
- Work closely with engineers and estimators to support cost control and reporting
- Contribute to project forecasting and commercial reporting
- Assist with contract close-out and final account preparation
