We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Farm Manager to join our team at a busy, family-friendly farm attraction open to the public all year round. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on farming while also being part of a visitor-focused environment – combining animal care, team collaboration, and public engagement.
The Role
As Farm Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the farm. You’ll ensure high standards of animal welfare while helping create an engaging and educational experience for visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily care and management of farm animals
- Take the lead on sheep welfare and ensure best practices are followed
- Maintain high standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and husbandry
- Manage feeding routines, health checks, and general livestock care
- Support breeding programmes and seasonal farm activities
- Maintain enclosures, paddocks, and overall farm presentation
- Deliver talks, demonstrations, and interactive visitor sessions
- Support school visits, events, and peak holiday periods
- Work closely with the wider farm and visitor experience team
About You
- Proven experience in farm or livestock management
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with sheep
- Solid understanding of animal welfare and husbandry standards
- Confident, friendly, and comfortable engaging with the public
- Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Agricultural qualification (desirable but not essential)
