Are you experienced in small vessel or RIB fit out and confident working with marine systems? Do you enjoy hands-on technical work, diagnostics, and delivering high-quality results both in the workshop and on-site? Our client is a specialist marine engineering company, and they are looking for a Sealegs / Aftersales Technician to join their growing team in Poole.
The role
This is a practical, varied position focused on the build, servicing, and repair of small vessels, particularly Sealegs Amphibious RIBs. You will be responsible for ensuring vessels are safe, fully functional, and prepared to a high standard for use or delivery. You will work both in the workshop and on-site, with regular travel across the UK and occasional overseas trips.
Key Responsibilities
- Fit out small vessels (up to 12m) in line with specifications and technical drawings
- Install marine components including consoles, seating, fuel systems, steering and outboard engines
- Carry out basic electrical installation and fault-finding
- Inspect, strip, and overhaul hulls, tubes, and fittings
- Service and maintain Sealegs vessels, including aftercare support
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections and sea trials
- Commission and test hydraulic systems
- Maintain accurate service records and produce inspection reports
- Assist with quotations for repairs and upgrades
- Promote service solutions and product upgrades where appropriate
- Follow all workshop safety and quality procedures
