The role:
This role would suit someone with solid experience in a hands-on trade, construction, joinery, set building, scenic carpentry, workshop manufacturing or a similar practical environment. You should be able to settle into the role quickly, work confidently with minimal supervision on routine production tasks and use your own judgement when required. You will also bring a practical approach and a creative eye to producing and finishing bespoke climbing wall panels.
You will spend most of your time producing textured plywood and fibreglass climbing wall panels ready for shipment and installation at customer sites. The work includes fibreglass and resin application, texturing, painting, finishing and preparing completed panels for delivery.
Previous fibreglass, resin or composite fabrication experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, you should already be comfortable and capable in a practical workshop setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing textured plywood and fibreglass climbing wall panels
- Working safely and accurately with fibreglass, resin and related materials
- Applying texture and paint finishes to completed panels
- Building, assembling and finishing plywood climbing volumes
- Reading and working from technical drawings and specifications
- Using saws, drills, grinders, sanders and other workshop equipment
- Checking completed products for quality, finish and accuracy
- Preparing, protecting and packing panels for shipment
- Maintaining a tidy, safe and efficient workshop
- Occasionally supporting installation work at customer sites

- At least two years hands-on experience in a workshop, construction, joinery, set building, scenic carpentry, manufacturing or similar practical environment
