We’re looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Project Services team within rhi. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, build your commercial skills, and play a key role in delivering projects from tender stage through to final account.
Please note: This role requires the right to work in the UK on a long‑term basis without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
The Role
You’ll support the Quantity Surveying team across both pre‑contract and post‑contract activities, helping to ensure projects are commercially controlled, accurately measured, and delivered in line with contract requirements. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll gain exposure to real project work, develop strong commercial awareness, and build a solid foundation in Quantity Surveying.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Pre‑Contract
- Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities using engineering drawings and industry data
- Support the development of schedules of rates and contract preambles
- Help review tender submissions, including cost and manhour analysis
- Contribute to benchmarking rates against industry standards
- Assist with quantity take‑offs from drawings
- Support measurement and re‑measurement of works on site
- Assist in preparing interim valuations and final accounts
- Help review and assess variations, claims, and contractor submissions
- Work closely with engineers and estimators to support cost control and reporting
- Contribute to project forecasting and commercial reporting
- Assist with contract close‑out and final account preparation
