About the job

Dalkia is looking for experienced HVAC Senior Craftsman to join a dedicated team working at the British Steel site in Scunthorpe. This role offers the opportunity to work independently within a supportive environment, carrying out maintenance and small installation tasks on a dynamic industrial site. If you’re reliable, skilled, and ready to take on out-of-hours call-outs when needed, we want to hear from you.

Who we’re looking for

• HVAC Senior Craftsman qualification or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and small installation works
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks from a site vehicle
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and respond to out-of-hours call-outs
• Valid CCNSG Safety Passport (must be provided before start date)
• Strong understanding of safety procedures in industrial environments
• Full UK driving licence
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a demanding, industrial setting

What’s on Offer

• Competitive pay in line with BESA 2024/2025 rates, based on experience and certification
• £1.50 per hour dirty site allowance for all hours worked on site
• 37.5-hour work week: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00, Friday: 07:30 – 13:00
• Occasional overtime, subject to client approval
• Participation in an on-call rota every 3–4 weeks, with standby rates payable
• Company vehicle and mobile phone provided for use on site and commuting
• Fuel supplied by British Steel
• Initial support from another Dalkia operative until familiar with the role and site
• All required PPE supplied by Dalkia; specialist suits provided by British Steel
• 24 days annual leave, pro-rated and accrued at 2 days per month + One additional paid day off for your birthday
• Long service holiday rewards: +1 day after 2 years of continuous service / +1 additional day after 3 years of continuous service. Option to purchase up to one full week of additional annual leave per year
