Make an impact where it matters.

Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives on complex employee relations and influencing leaders? We are looking for a confident, forward-thinking and proactive HR Advisor to join our People Team on a 9-month maternity cover contract, supporting managers across the UK and our global business. This is a high-impact role where you'll take ownership of employee relations casework, coach managers, and help shape best-practice HR approaches across a global organisation.

About us: The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is the world's leading professional body for procurement and supply, with over 70,000 members worldwide. With a Royal Charter, we're driven by a clear purpose: to raise standards, build capability, and support ethical, high-performing supply chain professionals globally.

What you'll be doing: You will play a key role in supporting managers and driving people excellence across the organisation:

  • Employee Relations: Lead complex ER cases (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance). Coach and upskill managers to handle people issues confidently and fairly. Provide expert advice on UK employment law. Support organisational change, including restructures and consultations. Identify trends and recommend proactive HR improvements.
  • Recruitment & Talent: Support recruitment campaigns and ensure best practice. Advise on job design, hiring approaches and selection processes. Contribute to talent and succession planning initiatives.
  • Projects & Continuous Improvement: Support and deliver HR projects aligned to the People Strategy. Drive improvements to HR processes and ways of working. Contribute to L&D and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Insight: Build strong relationships across the business. Influence and challenge constructively at all levels. Use HR data and insights to support decision-making.

What we're looking for: You'll be CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards it) with solid experience managing complex employee relations casework. As a result, you'll have a strong, up-to-date understanding of UK employment law. You're a confident communicator who can build credibility quickly, with the ability to advise, challenge and influence managers effectively. Ideally, you'll also have some exposure to international employment law (particularly UAE, Saudi Arabia or India). However, this isn't essential—our experienced team will support you in developing this knowledge.

What you'll get: an array of benefits, including: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, private medical insurance (BUPA), pension scheme, life assurance (4x salary), bonus scheme (non-contractual), on-site restaurant and other great facilities including a gym.

Why join CIPS? At CIPS, you'll be part of a globally connected organisation where you can take ownership of meaningful, complex HR work and genuinely shape our people practices. You'll join a supportive, collaborative and values-led People team, where your expertise is valued and your development is encouraged.
