Geospatial Surveyor (Land and Engineering Surveyor)–£31,000-£37,000 + Benefits – Alfreton, DE55, with travel across the UK.

The Role

Do you possess strong experience in topographical surveying? Are you confident using CAD and survey software to turn data into clear, accurate plans? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

Terra Measurement are looking for a skilled Geospatial Surveyor (Land & Engineering Surveyor) to join us at our office in Alfreton (DE55) (with travel across the UK.)

You will deliver high-quality surveys from field to final deliverable, using the latest survey equipment and processing software. Your work will support engineering, conservation, design and construction projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out Topographical, Measured Building, and Engineering Surveys across varied sites and sectors.
  • Using modern survey equipment and techniques including GNSS, total stations, digital levels, 3D laser scanners, and UAVs (where qualified).
  • Processing data and producing deliverables using CAD and specialist software to high standards.
  • Following and improving our best-practice methods, including QA, safety, and data management procedures.
  • Working solo or in teams to deliver outstanding results, sometimes involving travel and overnight stays.

The Person

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Land/Engineering/Topographical Surveying.
  • Strong skills in data capture methods and survey control.
  • Competence using CAD and survey processing software (e.g. N4ce, LSS, AutoCAD).
  • A meticulous eye for quality and detail.
  • A UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
  • Good communication, time management, and a proactive attitude.
