We are looking for a Fish Farm Operative to join our team and help maintain day-to-day farm operations. This role is key in ensuring the farm meets customer requirements while working to the standards set out in our Quality Management System. You will be directly involved in fish husbandry, site maintenance, and supporting harvest operations.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, including 1 weekend in 4 on rotation. 07:00 - 15:30 Monday, Wednesday & Thursday (harvesting days). Finishing time will need to be flexible due to working with livestock.

This is a great chance to be part of a dedicated team, helping to keep the farm running smoothly and to the highest standards.

  • Maintain water flow and monitor aeration/oxygen systems.
  • Move and grade fish, as well as support harvesting.
  • Carry out farm maintenance including ponds, screens and infrastructure.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety requirements.

Harome Trout Farm is based in North Yorkshire, near the market town of Helmsley and close to the North York Moors National Park.

Previous experience in fish farming or food production operations is desirable but not essential.

Good organisational and planning skills.

Understanding of Quality Assurance and Health & Safety procedures.
