Making Space is a values-led charity supporting people across the community — and we are recruiting Recovery Support Workers for our Rehabilitation Supported Living Service in Burnley.

The role:

  • Contracts available: 2 x 28 hours and 4 x 35 hours per week
  • Shifts: 4 or 5 days per week, between 8am and 10pm, including some weekends

You will join our Lancashire Supported Living Rehabilitation Service, Inspiring Minds. The service has 9 beds and provides short-term rehabilitation support to adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities and people on the autistic spectrum.

You will support people to build skills, manage their wellbeing and move towards greater independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support tailored to individual needs
  • Support with daily living skills, cooking and domestic tasks
  • Encourage access to the community, education or employment
  • Offer calm and practical support during periods of distress or crisis
  • Work closely with colleagues to promote recovery
  • Maintain clear and accurate records
