Product Governance Specialist Financial services / wealth management |South-West Midlands (hybrid, 3 days on-site) A fast-growing, PE-backed financial services and wealth management business is looking for a Product Governance Specialist to join its team.
The group has scaled to several hundred people but has held on to a founder-led, hands-on culture, and product governance is central to how it grows responsibly.
This is a role with genuine ownership.
You'll help shape and run the product governance framework, lead target market assessments, and make sure Consumer Duty is built into product design, review and monitoring in practice rather than on paper.
You'll work closely with the wider team and have the kind of visibility and influence that's hard to find in a larger, more layered organisation.
What you'll do Own and maintain the product governance framework and related policies.
Run target market assessments and product reviews across the product set.
Embed Consumer Duty into product design, oversight and ongoing monitoring.
Provide clear, practical product governance input to the business as it grows.
Support governance forums and help evidence good customer outcomes.
What we're looking for A financial services background β this is essential.
Around 5β10 years in financial services, including 1β3 years in product governance.
Solid working knowledge of Consumer Duty and target market / product oversight.
Product governance experience gained within a broader remit, with the confidence to be hands-on.
Wealth management and/or bancassurance experience is an advantage.
Located within a reasonable commute, able to be on-site three days a week.
