Overview
We’re working with a growing organisation looking to hire an experienced Demand Planner to support end-to-end forecasting and inventory planning operations. Based full-time in the Manchester/Trafford office, this role will play a key part in ensuring product availability, optimising stock levels, and supporting supplier coordination. This is an ideal opportunity for someone highly organised, data-driven, and confident working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and business inputs
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimising excess
- Collaborate closely with procurement, sales, and operations teams to align supply with demand
- Work with international suppliers (particularly in China if applicable) to support production planning and replenishment cycles
- Analyse demand patterns and identify risks/opportunities, providing clear recommendations
- Use Excel and planning tools to track performance, build reports, and improve forecasting accuracy
- Support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes where relevant
- Maintain strong data integrity and continuously improve planning processes
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a Demand Planning / Supply Chain / Inventory Planning role (ideally 3+ years)
- Strong Excel skills (comfortable with large datasets, formulas, forecasting models)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Experience working with overseas suppliers, ideally in China, is advantageous
- Background in PPE, healthcare, or a product-based industry is beneficial but not essential
- Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach
