We are partnering with a leading global financial services organisation to appoint a Data Transformation Director into a highly strategic, enterprise-wide role.
This individual will take responsibility for a significant data transformation agenda, overseeing strategic data platforms, governance and major change programmes that support the wider business globally.
Importantly, we are looking for someone who combines strong data transformation leadership with a good understanding of Procurement and Supplier Data. This is not a hands-on technical role. It requires someone who understands how data, technology, procurement and business transformation come together within a large, complex organisation.
The Role
- Lead major enterprise-wide data transformation and change programmes across a global organisation.
- Take strategic accountability for key data platforms, data governance and data management capabilities.
- Provide leadership around Supplier Master Data and the wider procurement data landscape.
- Lead and develop a global team of approximately 25 people across the UK and Europe.
- Manage a significant transformation/change budget and ensure investment delivers measurable business outcomes.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Procurement, Technology, Data, Operations and the wider business.
- Work closely with international teams and service centres to drive consistent global delivery.
- Strengthen data quality, integrity, governance and operational effectiveness.
- Manage the risks associated with complex data transformation within a highly regulated environment.
- Lead relationships with strategic technology partners, suppliers and external consultancies.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience leading large-scale Data Transformation, Data Management or Data Governance programmes.
- Strong knowledge of Procurement is essential, particularly where it intersects with supplier data, master data, technology or transformation.
- Experience working within a large, complex and ideally regulated organisation, with financial services experience particularly relevant.
- Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, data quality and enterprise data platforms.
- Experience leading sizeable, geographically dispersed teams.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate confidently across business and technology functions.
- Strong understanding of the commercial and operational impact of data, rather than being purely technically focused.
- A resilient, pragmatic leadership style with the ability to navigate complexity and drive change through a global organisation.
