Industry Operations Expert in Stroud

Ecotricity is looking for an Industry Operations Expert to join our friendly Gas Operations team on a full‑time basis. The successful candidate will provide ongoing technical support within the Industry Operations Team and across the wider business, serving as the ‘go‑to’ person for industry data exceptions and supporting industry processes. You will remain up to date on any industry changes, update documentation as needed, develop your knowledge, and train colleagues on new developments. In an MPXN‑level role you will be responsible for improving and maintaining industry data integrity, updating documentation, and assisting the Team Leader with change management across the team. The department ensures a high standard of data integrity across all industry databases and our internal systems by resolving incoming data exceptions in line with industry regulations.

Core Responsibilities

• Resolve industry exceptions and queries, and maintain customer data held within Ecotricity systems within given timescales
• Act as a technical support for the wider business on gas industry data queries
• Liaise with other departments and third parties to ensure fair and timely outcomes for customer and industry‑impacting problems
• Engage in other projects and ad‑hoc tasks in line with the team’s ongoing needs and Ecotricity mission
• Attend all industry/software training days as appropriate, and feed up‑to‑date information back to the department and team leaders
• Ensure the department meets all industry compliance and regulations requirements, and share this knowledge with the team

This is a full‑time permanent opportunity, offering the benefits of flexible hybrid working arrangements. The role requires you to work three days per week in our office in Stroud (Gloucestershire) and two days per week either from home or the office.

Qualifications and Skills

• Great analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
• High level of numeracy, accuracy, and problem‑solving ability
• Proven effective relationship management both internally and externally
• High level of computer literacy with experience of a CRM system and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Prioritise a wide range of tasks and manage workload effectively
• Committed to continual learning for themselves and their teammates, including process improvement experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self‑motivated, organised, and genuinely interested in their own and their colleagues’ development
• Full system and industry training is provided; a background in the energy industry would be an advantage
