Are you passionate about thinking big and joining a team who are looking to accelerate the growth of our organic and natural Brands – Clipper Teas, Kallo and Mrs Crimble’s in the UK, while also doing good? Ecotone is looking to recruit a National Account Manager - Food Service with the hunger to continue to develop, build and deliver the 3-year strategic plan to meet our ambitions of double-digit growth.

As National Account Manager you will be responsible for leading, developing and delivering the growth and profitability in these accounts. You will be solely accountable for developing the retail partnerships that will deliver sustained success while working cross functionally with all the teams who will help you achieve our stretch goals.

Here are just some of the exciting responsibilities you will be accountable for:

  • Responsible for the development, delivery and review of UK foodservice plans to meet/exceed revenue, EBIT and distribution targets.
  • Accountable for developing new leads, successfully landing new opportunities in line with our strategic plan; winning tenders as required.
  • Build business partnership relationships with foodservice customers across all contact points to secure business for the long-term (eg. buying, merchandising and supply chain).
  • Negotiate annual and/or contractual trading agreements with customers.
  • Deliver price increases where required.
  • As part of cross-functional category team, develop and execute effective NPD launches to meet channel specific requirements.
  • Successfully gain listings/distribution for all NPD launches by way of creating the pull to unlock push opportunities.
  • P&L responsibility and ownership (ability to create bottom-up P&L models to ensure investment levels to win new business).
  • Ability to interpret financial information to create and deliver business cases where relevant to ensure return on investment delivered in line with expectations.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and adherence to the S&OP cycle within the time frames required.
  • Assist with the development of channel-specific sales material and as required on a case-by-case basis.
  • Ensure all customer files and call reports are accurate, up to date and filed in accordance with company standards.
  • Use relevant data to provide customer insights, observe trends, evaluate promotions and propose sales activity.
  • Comfortable working independently and externally to help drive the foodservice division of Ecotone UK.
  • Work with the Controller to understand how we develop the regional aspect to the foodservice division by using our 3rd party sales agency.
  • Attend National events where required to represent the organisation at all levels.
  • Any other duties and requirements as and when required by the Controller/Commercial Director.

We’re looking for someone who is an expert in the Food Service Channel of Trade with extensive experience and a proven track record of success. Additionally, you will:

  • Have a strong knowledge of account management with a proven ability to build strong retailer relationships.
  • Be an effective communicator and proven experience of stakeholder management.
  • Have sound product/supply chain knowledge.
  • Have proven experience in data analysis and insights.
