Ecosurety are looking for a Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain our data infrastructure and automation pipelines. You will be instrumental in creating robust data solutions that connect external data sources to our platform while ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational excellence through modern DevOps practices.

Job Description

  • Design and build data pipelines in Azure Data Factory (ADF) that integrate with external APIs, orchestrating data flows into our platform
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to automate deployment, testing, and delivery of data platform components
  • Build and maintain internal tools and apps using Python and Streamlit
  • Create and maintain our own APIs for 3rd party data access and platform integration
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure pipeline reliability and data quality
  • Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions
  • Document technical designs, processes, and best practices

Person Specification

Required

  • Experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or related roles
  • Strong proficiency with Azure DevOps, including building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid Python programming skills with experience in data processing and automation
  • Experience building applications with Streamlit
  • Understanding of DevOps principles: automation, infrastructure as code, continuous integration/deployment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to data quality and reliability

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing data pipelines in Azure Data Factory
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain REST APIs
  • Experience with API integration and working with external data sources
  • Familiarity with Azure services
  • Understanding of data governance and security best practices

Technical Environment

  • Languages: Python, SQL
