Work across our site in Salisbury carrying out habitat establishment, invasive species control, monitoring and aftercare. You'll operate machinery, prepare sites, and collaborate closely with ecologists and site managers throughout.

A full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle will be required for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare sites for landscaping works, including clearing vegetation and ground preparation.
  • Lay wildflower turf and carry out turf establishment works.
  • Plant trees, shrubs, and marginal plants in line with project specifications.
  • Maintain newly planted areas through hand weeding, selective strimming, and mulching.
  • Inspect and adjust tree stakes, ties, and guards to support healthy establishment.
  • Reinstate damaged turf and planted areas to a high standard.
  • Remove litter, fallen branches, and green waste, ensuring sites remain safe, clean, and accessible.
  • Operate landscaping tools and equipment safely and carry out routine maintenance of equipment.
  • Work in accordance with health and safety procedures, environmental standards, and client requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality work while supporting biodiversity and sustainable landscaping practices.
Experience
  • Essential: Previous landscaping or environmental project experience - demonstrated hands-on experience working on landscaping or environmental projects, ideally involving land management, ecological restoration, or site preparation. Familiarity with using tools and machinery, planting schemes, and working in outdoor, site-based environments.
  • Desirable: Experience in habitat creation projects - previous involvement in projects aimed at creating or enhancing habitats such as wildflower meadows, wetlands, woodland planting, or pond creation. Understanding of ecological principles that underpin habitat restoration and rewilding efforts.
Qualifications
  • Essential: CSCS Card, Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle, Relevant tickets including strimming, ride-on mower, brush cutter
  • Desirable: Trailer towing, Banksman
