Role overview The Project Manager will oversee multiple nature recovery projects, with a primary focus on peatland restoration, across the UK. This includes managing all aspects of project delivery, supporting team development on-site, driving cross-functional collaboration, managing and reporting on risks, and contributing to business growth through a customer-centric approach. About you You are an experienced and passionate professional with a strong track record in managing nature recovery or ecological restoration projects. Your expertise in peatland restoration makes you a vital addition to our team as we strive toward our ambitious rewilding goals. You will bring: A results-driven mindset, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable ecological benefits. Exceptional organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with diverse teams. Proven ability to work with clients and stakeholders to foster strong relationships, align goals, and achieve project success. A commitment to high standards of environmental stewardship and compliance with health, safety, and ecological regulations. NEC4 Experience Minimum of 8 years of experience leading a landscape project in a highly regulated industry Full lifecycle experience from business case approval, design, execution & handover Experience of change control Ability to lead and manage delivery of technical programme / projects along the various technical lifecycles, in account of cost and schedule requirements. Management of commercial aspects of technical delivery Strong communication skills at multiple organisational levels, internally and externally. Key Skills & Experience Essential Proven experience managing multiple ecological restoration projects, with expertise in peatland restoration. Strong organisational and project management skills, including resource allocation and budget management. Ability to coach and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in on-site environments. Demonstrated client relationship management skills, delivering customer-centric solutions. Knowledge of ecological principles, habitat restoration techniques, and monitoring methodologies. Experience in identifying and mitigating project risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including report writing and stakeholder engagement. A full UK driving licence will be required for this position. Desirable Familiarity with innovative tools and technologies, such as remote sensing or AI, for monitoring and restoration. Experience securing funding and preparing bids for environmental projects.
