About the Role As an Ecologist at Ecosulis, you will play a crucial role in leading high-profile ecological and rewilding projects. From surveying flagship rewilding projects, to drafting environmental improvement plans, rewilding plans and species reintroductions or developing bio-indicators, your skills and knowledge will be pushed to accelerate nature recovery in the UK and beyond. Key Responsibilities • Responsible for day-to-day management of projects and must be competent & confident in managing all aspects including scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, resources, and commercials. • Managing the delivery of a diverse range of projects, including ecological mitigation, habitat creation and nature recovery work. • Providing project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress. • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan • Determine and define project scope and objectives • Attending client meetings. • Supporting the Bid team (pricing and project information) Qualifications and Experience • A degree in Ecology or a related subject • CIEEM Membership • Full UK driving licence & use of own vehicle • Minimum of 5 years in ecology or rewilding projects. • Extensive experience of UKHab surveys • Ecological tendering • Bird survey (breeding and wintering) • At least 1 Protected Species licence. • Production of EcIA and HRA reports • Mitigation licence compilation • Competent use of GIS mapping • Delivery of Biodiversity Net Gain and use of the UK habitat classification system More information • Job type: full time, permanent • Start date: asap • Salary: Competitive, based on experience • Location: Midlands • A full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle will be required for this position.
