We are seeking a professional 7.5-tonne Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and adhering to all safety regulations. Duties
- Operate a 7.5-tonne lorry to deliver goods across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and timeliness
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met
- Communicate proactively with the dispatch team regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
- Adhere strictly to road safety laws and company policies at all times
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence with relevant 7.5-tonne (C1) certification
- Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best driving practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
- Good communication skills and professional attitude towards customers and colleagues
