Installation & Business Development Assistant EcoShrink has been trading since 2015 and has built a strong reputation delivering specialist industrial shrink-wrap projects across the UK. We work with contractors on scaffolding structures, modular buildings and large commercial projects, providing specialist temporary shrink-wrap containment systems. We are looking for a reliable, practical and confident person to join our small team in a varied full-time role combining hands-on installation work with customer contact, business development and day-to-day operational support. The role This is a genuine hybrid position. When installation projects are running, you will work alongside our experienced Lead Installer on construction sites across the UK, helping to install shrink-wrap containment systems safely and professionally. When we are between projects, or when site work is delayed by weather or programme changes, your time will be spent supporting the commercial and operational side of EcoShrink from our Wimborne base. This means the role suits someone who is equally comfortable doing practical physical work and speaking confidently with customers. Typical responsibilities include: • Assisting with shrink-wrap installations on construction sites • Working safely at height on scaffolding and temporary structures • Preparing materials, tools and equipment for upcoming projects • Loading and organising installation equipment • Carrying out basic equipment and stock checks • Calling previous and prospective customers • Following up enquiries and quotations • Identifying potential new projects and opportunities • Updating customer and project records • Supporting general warehouse and business operations • Taking project photographs and helping maintain accurate job records Previous shrink-wrap experience is not required and full training will be provided. Construction experience is useful, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are more important. What we are looking for You will need to be: • Reliable and punctual • Physically capable of carrying out practical installation work • Comfortable working at height • Confident speaking with customers on the telephone • Comfortable making outbound business calls • Practical, organised and willing to learn • Happy to travel to construction projects across the UK • Comfortable with early starts on installation days • Flexible regarding occasional overnight stays • Able to work independently as well as part of a small team • Professional and trustworthy when representing EcoShrink on customer sites A full UK driving licence is required. A CSCS card would be useful but is not essential. We are happy to support the right candidate with the necessary training and qualifications. Working hours This is a full-time permanent position, typically averaging around 35–40 hours per week. Because our work is project-based, working hours can vary from one day or week to the next. A busy installation day may occasionally involve a long shift or significant travel, while quieter periods may involve shorter days or additional time off. We try to balance hours sensibly across quieter and busier periods rather than expecting every working day to follow a fixed '9-to-5' pattern. Flexibility is therefore an important part of the role. Installation days can involve early starts depending on the project location, and occasional overnight stays may be required for projects further from our Dorset base. We also occasionally undertake night-shift installation work. Night shifts are paid at time-and-a-half. Where working hours materially exceed the normal pattern, additional hours will either be paid as overtime or balanced with time off, depending on the circumstances. Salary and benefits • £26,000–£29,000 per year depending on experience • Paid overtime where applicable • Night shifts paid at time-and-a-half • Performance-related bonus opportunities • Full training provided • PPE and specialist equipment provided • Opportunity to develop within a specialist construction business Why join EcoShrink? EcoShrink is a small, established company where the right person will be given genuine responsibility and the opportunity to become an important part of the team. You will receive full training in a specialist area of construction while also developing commercial and customer-facing experience. We are looking for someone who wants a long-term position and is interested in growing with the business rather than simply finding their next short-term job. We are also progressing towards employee ownership, giving the right person an opportunity to join the company at an important stage in its development. Location EcoShrink 4–5 Thorne Way Woolsbridge Industrial Estate Wimborne Dorset BH21 6FB Before applying Please consider the practical nature of the role carefully. Site work involves physical installation work, working at height, early starts, variable working days and nationwide travel. The office-based side of the role also involves speaking with customers and making outbound calls. We are looking for someone who is genuinely comfortable with both sides of the position and appreciates that working patterns in a project-based construction business will sometimes vary from week to week
