We have a vacancy in an amazing work environment with a friendly team.
LOCATION: Orpington BR6
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
5.30am – 7.30am Monday – Friday
6.30pm – 8.30pm Monday – Friday
RATE OF PAY: £12.50ph, paid monthly
Responsibilities
- Unlocking the premises in the morning and securing all entrances/exits at the end of the day.
- Checking alarms, CCTV, and security lighting are set and operational.
- Monitoring access during school hours for contractors, visitors, and deliveries.
- Carrying out a final site walk-through to ensure all doors and windows are locked, appliances are turned off, and no hazards remain.
- Cleaning & Housekeeping
- Litter picking and keeping playgrounds, entrances, and car parks tidy.
- Emptying external bins and ensuring recycling areas are organised.
- Spot-cleaning spillages and assisting cleaners where required.
- Checking and replenishing consumables (soap, paper towels, toilet rolls).
- Maintenance & Repairs
- Conducting routine checks on heating, lighting, and plumbing.
- Carrying out minor repairs (e.g. unblocking drains, changing bulbs, fixing door handles).
- Reporting larger maintenance issues promptly and liaising with contractors.
- Ensuring safe storage and correct use of tools, equipment, and chemicals.
- Grounds & External Areas
- Sweeping paths and ensuring safe access during icy or wet weather (spreading grit/salt).
- Checking playground equipment and outdoor furniture for safety.
- Keeping drains, gutters, and external areas clear of leaves and debris.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Completing daily/weekly site safety checks (fire exits, extinguishers, alarms).
- Assisting with fire drills and emergency procedures.
- Keeping COSHH and safety documentation updated.
- Making sure hazard areas (e.g. plant rooms) remain secure.
TRAINING: Full training will be given

LANGUAGE: Due to the nature of this contract, applicants must have a good level of English, both spoken and written
