  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of shared services and platform capabilities.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge-sharing activities within the team.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Designers and other stakeholders to help deliver solutions that solve customer problems.
  • Follow engineering best practices relating to security, performance, testing and maintainability.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting and resolving issues in production environments, collaborating with the wider engineering team as required.
  • Apply AI tools to accelerate design, testing and delivery, exercising judgement to validate and take ownership of the output.

What we're looking for:

  • 2-5 years' experience in software development, ideally within SaaS, web application or product-focused environments.
  • Experience developing applications using C#/.NET and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.

  • Degree-level education is beneficial but not essential. We value practical experience, curiosity, collaboration and a willingness to learn.
  • Exposure to responsive web application development and technologies such as Elasticsearch would be advantageous.
  • A growth mindset with a desire to continuously develop your technical skills and contribute positively to a collaborative engineering culture.

Our Benefits:

  • Generous Paid Time Off
  • Extended Parental Leave
  • Robust Health Coverage
  • Accelerated Learning Paths
  • Team Wellness Initiatives

How to prepare for a job interview at EcoOnline

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If EcoOnline uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
