The opportunity: The School of Mathematics is seeking to appoint a University Teacher with a focus on Statistics and Data Science. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months involving teaching across a range of our undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses. The role will also include involvement in assessment of students, helping to develop courses and programmes, where this is appropriate, and teaching related administration, which could include providing academic support to students. There will be opportunities to take part in scholarship activities in our School.
The School takes career development seriously: we will mentor the post holder to develop key skills and experiences in teaching and learning and support participation in the Edinburgh Teaching Award, which leads to a Higher Education Academy Fellowship. The post is available from 1st September 2026 and is fixed term for 12 months.
