Working Pattern: Full-time (Monday to Friday), working 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Organise and provide high‑quality core technical support to staff and students within the School of Medicine and Population Health.
  • Plan and conduct experimental activities with a particular focus on mammalian models of disease, as well as histology research and teaching.
  • Provide general laboratory housekeeping, experimental research and teaching support duties while ensuring good health and safety standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Understand and apply legal and ethical considerations in animal research.
  • Work as part of a large and dedicated team of core technical staff across two divisions (Clinical Medicine and Neuroscience), working effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision of senior technical colleagues and maintaining workplace organisation.
