We wish to appoint a permanent teaching fellow in the field of Construction Project Management who will strengthen our teaching team by sharing our passion for providing a high-quality learning experience for students and contribute to developing good practice through curriculum development. The appointee will be expected to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students on a range of programmes with a specific focus on construction and construction project management, drawing on a wealth of experience and expertise in either education or professional practice. We encourage applications from those with a non-academic background but with significant hands-on experience of the construction sector who wish to draw on this experience to contribute to the higher education of students studying in this field. Applicants will be expected to lead and develop relevant modules and be responsible for their administration and assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design teaching materials and deliver either across a range of modules or within a subject area, using both face to face and online techniques.
- Develop a structure by which the modules are delivered, both face to face and online.
- Supervise student projects, including, where appropriate, PGT, field trips and placements.
- Co-ordinate teaching and learning to ensure student needs and expectations are met.

The School of Science, Engineering and Environment (SEE) is an inter-disciplinary School formed from the unification of three long-standing Schools at Salford. SEE comprises world-leading research and teaching across the spectrum from Acoustics, Built Environment, Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, Physics, Biomed, Wildlife, Geography and Environmental Management.
