A position exists for a Research Assistant/Associate in the Whittle Laboratory to work on designing future low pressure ratio fan systems for Ultra Fan engines.

The project is funded by Rolls‑Royce plc and involves collaboration with partner universities as well as Rolls‑Royce’s fan design team.

The aim is to develop new fan designs with reduced fuel consumption while maintaining operability.

Preference will be given to candidates with turbomachinery design and computational analysis experience.
