Overview

The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) is seeking experienced Commercial and Rural Surveyors to join our esteemed Land & Property team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to shape the next generation of land management professionals. The RAU offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Land & Property, including our RICS accredited BSc (Hons) Rural Land Management, BSc (Hons) Real Estate, MSc Rural Estate Management, and MSc Real Estate programmes.

Responsibilities

We are seeking professional and passionate individuals with highly relevant subject expertise gained through professional practice in the UK to teach on our Rural Land Management and Real Estate programmes at our Cirencester Campus. Bridging the gap between industry and academia is essential for our students, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future careers. We are specifically seeking applicants with valuation & compulsory purchase skills, and those with commercial / real estate experience obtained through professional practice in the UK.

Qualifications

Due to our taught programmes being RICS accredited, applicants must be a Chartered Surveyor with either MRICS, FRICS, or AssocRICS, or must meet the necessary criteria to become a member of RICS, enabling teaching to be practice-led and enriched with real-world examples.

Part-time roles

For a part-time role, we encourage applications from individuals who are currently working as Chartered Surveyors, or are returning from work after a career break from professional practice, or have recently retired and wish to share their wealth of knowledge with the next generation of professionals.
