This Genentech‑funded full‑time post is immediately available on a fixed term basis until 31 December 2027. The starting salary will be from £43,482 on Grade F, depending on knowledge, skills and experience. Please note that this role is subject to a DBS check.
The Faculty is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with excellent data analysis and interpretation skills to work on the EU multi‑centre observational study BEAT‑DKD (https://www.beat-dkd.eu/). The successful applicant will work closely with Dr Kim Gooding and Professor Angela Shore and be responsible for leading the data analysis of the Exeter BEAT‑DKD sub‑studies, driving paper drafting and significantly contributing to the data‑analysis of the main BEAT‑DKD consortium imaging study.
The postholder responsibilities will include:
- Data management and analysis
- Integrating a variety of data sources (clinical, imaging modalities, traditional and novel biofluid based biomarkers, e.g. omics data) using innovative approaches
- Liaising with the central BEAT‑DKD data management team
- Statistical analysis
- Preparing local manuscripts
- Participating in central BEAT‑DKD writing groups
About You: Applicants will possess a relevant PhD or equivalent qualification/experience in a related field and an established track record of publishing papers demonstrating analytical expertise. They should have experience developing data analysis plans to address research questions, integrating and analysing data from a variety of sources, and disseminating their work. The successful applicant must be able to work collaboratively, provide statistical/analysis advice and expertise, supervise the work of others and act as a team leader if required. They will also be able to develop research proposals, identify sources of research funding and make presentations at conferences and other events.
