The role holder will be involved in horticultural maintenance and development of the Botanic Garden to the highest standards. As a scientific and conservation collection of plants, you will work to make the Botanic Garden accessible to the public throughout the year. You will work with a team of dedicated staff and volunteers to help facilitate access and use of the Botanic Garden. You will work as part of a duty rota for weekend care of the collections, opening of the Botanic Garden, and facilitating later opening in summer months.
What will you be doing?
- Horticultural maintenance and development of the plant collections both outdoors and in extensive glasshouses, including seasonal horticultural work
- Operational activities, health & safety, training and compliance
- Engagement with volunteers, students and the public
You will be working with a dynamic team and assisting at Botanic Garden festivals, activities and later opening hours.
