Purpose of the Role

The Inbound Clerk is responsible for ensuring accurate handling of received goods and financial transactions. They conduct checks, process receipts, resolve queries, and elevate issues as needed. Their work includes reconciling incoming goods and maintaining efficient inventory management and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comparing blind checks with system records and physical documentation to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Handling the entire process of goods receipt and goods return, including receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming stock or deliveries.
  • Addressing and resolving queries related to goods receipts, such as discrepancies in quantity, pricing, quality, or documentation.
  • Promptly escalating incidents or issues to suppliers, management, or commercial teams when necessary, to seek timely resolutions.
  • Completing and communicating inbound reconciliations, ensuring that all incoming goods are properly accounted for and reconciled with relevant records or documents.
  • Completing inbound movements report, including areas of non‑compliance, and distributing it to all stakeholders.
  • Adhering to safety guidelines and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing duties to mitigate potential risks.
  • Establishing and fostering a safe work environment and overall safety compliance.
  • Operating within safety standards.
  • Attending and participating in meetings and supporting the team in achieving the goals of the operation.
  • Attending coaching and training.
  • Contributing to the overall achievement of the team's goals.
