Econ Engineering is the UK’s largest supplier of winter maintenance and highways vehicles. With 55 years of expertise, we are a leader in designing and manufacturing high-quality vehicles that keep roads safe throughout the winter months.
Responsibilities:
- Keeping the outside spaces of the facility clean and tidy, with stock and vehicles assembled in an orderly fashion and emptying tipping skips from within the factory and yard spaces.
- As required, move chassis frames around the facility to facilitate the requirements of the various departments.
- Receive new chassis from suppliers and do vehicle receipt inspection records ensuring chassis are not damaged prior to delivery and park in a fashion that suits the production program.
- Load and unload outside haulier delivery vehicles as and when required, helping with On Board Weighing calibrations and various other production requirements.
This job would suit an independent person who would report to the stores supervisor but must be able to work under your own initiative and manage your time and tasks accordingly, prioritising as needed. Ideally you should be proficient in the use of a JCB Telehandler and hold a current HGV class 2 driving license. A good rate of pay is available for the right candidate, with overtime as required and bonuses also paid on achievement of production targets.
